Redirect controls and link lifecycle

Protect a link, set an expiration or click limit, and choose the redirect response that suits its purpose.

Choose the redirect type

New links use a 302 temporary redirect by default. Choose 301 when the destination is permanently moved. Use 307 or 308 when preserving the original HTTP method and request body matters to the destination.

Protect a sensitive destination

Add an optional password when visitors must enter a password before they are redirected. Yabrix stores the password securely and does not show it again. Edit the link to replace the password or explicitly remove protection.

Set an expiry or click limit

Set an expiration date for a time-bound promotion, or a positive click limit for a limited distribution. Once either limit is reached, the link expires and stops redirecting. Remove the setting while editing when the campaign needs to continue.

Keep the destination current

Edit a link rather than publishing a replacement when the short URL has already been distributed. Review the destination before saving, especially after a campaign page, product URL or registration flow changes.
